The charming town of Newington was incorporated in 1871 and is nestled between New Britain and Hartford. “Newington” comes from the General Assembly of the Colony of Connecticut, and refers to the “new town in the meadow.” Newington offers a unique blend of shopping and dining areas, while maintaining a peaceful, country atmosphere.
