Glastonbury

Incorporated in 1693, Glastonbury is one of Connecticut’s oldest municipalities. Named after Glastonbury is Somerset England, Glastonbury was home to Gideon Welles, the First Secretary of the Navy under President Lincoln. This beautiful New England town stretches along 9 miles of the CT River and offers exceptionally high quality of life with a variety of recreational activities and diverse community events and programming.
